“Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life”

- Khalil Gibran

D.O. N.D. N.I.M.H.

Ian has had a lifelong passion for meditation, beginning over 50 years ago while balancing his Osteopathic and Herbal practice in London. A life-changing decision led him and his wife Alicia to embrace meditation more deeply, becoming co-managers of a Vipassana Meditation Centre in the USA before establishing their own Centre in New Zealand.

From these experiences, Ian developed INsight~Nidra, a deeply transformative guided meditation blending Yoga Nidra, Vipassana, visualisation, archetype work, and chakra practices.

With over 13 years of teaching, his approach continues to evolve, shaped by the wisdom of many teachers and traditions. He draws ongoing inspiration from transformative figures such as Babaji, Paramahansa Yogananda, Goenka, Ramana Maharshi, Mooji, Thich Nhat Hanh, Swami Jnaneshvara, Eckhart Tolle, Russell Williams, Dr. Richard Miller, and Tara Brach, all of whom he holds in deep gratitude.

Now based in Northland, Ian shares his practice through retreats and a growing online community, including monthly live sessions on the global meditation app Insight Timer.

M.A. in Social Anthropology, Sinology and Philosophy.

200-hour Yoga Instructor. Level 2 Reiki Practitioner.

Dana’s path into yoga and meditation has unfolded over more than 15 years, guided by a deep curiosity about the body, mind, and spirit. After completing her 200-hour teacher training in 2019, she began sharing her practice while continuing to study with her teacher and is now working toward her 500-hour certification.

A dedicated Vipassana meditator, Sound Healing facilitator, and Reiki practitioner, Dana’s work bridges movement, breath, stillness, and vibration. Her journey has been shaped by years exploring culture and cosmology, and by living and travelling through China and Southeast Asia, where she immersed herself in diverse traditions of wisdom and healing.

In her classes, Dana weaves somatic awareness, breath connection, and the quiet power of simple movement to open channels of ease, strength, and energetic flow. She invites students into a space where subtle shifts can ripple into profound transformation.
